Each of our classes are led by a certified head teacher and an assistant teacher. Meet our staff:
Cassandra Hotchkiss has brought a warm and nurturing personality to share with our little ones the past few years. She has an Early Childhood certificate, as well as degrees in English and fashion marketing. Aside from her work at School on the Green, she also worked as a substitute teacher for six years. As Head Teacher, “Mrs. H.” works diligently to make sure SOTG students are learning appropriately for their preschool age while having fun and making memories!
After serving in the fields of education and daycare for many years, our Assistant Teacher, Paula Grabowski, joined the School on the Green staff in 2004. “Mrs. G’s” genuine care and compassion for children touches the hearts of many students each year. Through her ingenuity and craftiness, Mrs. G brings fun and enjoyable art projects and creativity into the classroom. At the same time, she upholds many of the SOTG’s long-standing traditions that make the school so special. Mrs. G is a qualified program staff member and a valued member of the teaching team.
Sara Schuch holds a Masters Degree in Special Education, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is a mother of two boys who have, and will, attend preschool at SOTG. Sara currently works part time at the Glenholme School in Washington, CT. Prior to taking on the role of Director, Sara served as the Co–President of the Board of Directors for one and a half years where she worked closely with parents and teachers on fundraising, events, and basic maintenance of the school. As Director, Sara is committed to upholding the unique parent cooperative approach that SOTG thrives on, as well as assisting the teachers in aligning the curriculum to the current Connecticut Early Education Standards.
